The Attack

Things went well... No wait the other thing.

Nothing ever goes well.

The Timberwolves were in a mansion. Apparently Dr. Malice took Portnoy from here.

We waited.

We prepared.

We timed it perfectly.

We knew the proxies were planning an attack.

Important note. My plan included a few more people than just me and Specter.

There was a thoughtborn by the name of Genome working with me who was the one who posted up the records and kept the site safe from prying eyes.

There were a number of other proxies and runners I had convinced to side with me who were meant to carry out the plans. Specter was only in charge of starting the plan and being the sacrifice that ended it. The others were supposed to activate the other calling points. This is important since it seems most of them are still alive and at the current point in time still loyal to me...

So been using them to keep us updated so we knew the proxies were planning to attack The Timberwolves.

Our plan hinged on this.

So what do you think happened when we started the plan and the proxies never showed up?

Everything went to shit. Worse yet the reason they never showed up decided to show up.

Wait show don't tell can't just tell you guys this shit you guys like to actually read my about my suffering. You sick bastards...

Anyways so Harold was positioned... Wait fuck Harold wasn't there... Who did we have Sniping? Portnoy? I think it was Portnoy.

Ok so we had portnoy with a gun on a roof. He was meant to take out anyone who tried to flee and alert us when The proxies showed up.

Dr. Malice being pretty much unkillable and unstoppable was going to go in the front.

Me and Megan were going to break in and attack them while they were focused on the Doc.

The Liar said she had other things to take care of and didn't come with us.

Understandable it's probably difficult adjusting to the fact one can now easily be killed plus I'm not sure how it works having 4 bodies that aren't all the same person anymore but I'm sure that can't be easy to deal with.

The plan started. Dr. Malice broke in through the front doors gunning people down and soon he'd engaged pretty much the entire place. Me and Megan found some windows and busted in taking out a few people before coming up on the Timberwolves from behind. Megan took out a few of them as did I. Now here's the thing. We were not planning to take them all out. That would have been impossible for our small band even with all our power. There were too many and as they began to get organized we fell back. The idea was mostly use ourselves as a diversion and to weaken them then let the proxies take them down. See we couldn't take them down on our own and the proxies wouldn't of taken them down on their own. The proxies were only attacking  to weaken The Timberwolves and keep them suppressed. That was the basic thoughts of most of the nearby groups. The Timberwolves were too difficult to destroy but weak enough to be easily suppressed and ignored. They could easily take them down if they would work together but no one here would trust another servant group.

So we'll do what they won't. The proxies will come and find a drastically weakened and unprepared Timberwolves and end up wiping them out. After that the remaining Timberwolf branches will probably turn against the Proxies and get themselves wiped out while weakening The Proxies enough for us to take them down next. That was the plan. So as the tide began to turn we went on the defensive preparing to escape as soon as Portnoy informed us of the proxy's approach. We waited... we continued waiting... We panicked. We thought something must have happened to Portnoy. Then worse news came. Portnoy contacted us.

"There is someone coming."

Some. One.

A few seconds later he described the person..

"It appears to be a man. Wearing a long black robe and wide brimmed preacher hat. The light is reflecting off a number of silver chains but the glare is too high to see what they are. The hat obscures his face. He's moving very quickly though faster than a human should be able to move. Wait shit he raised his head... That's a s-"

He became completely silent then. My first thought was some preacher guy was coming. I assumed he must be a timberwolf maybe one of those rumoured apostles. I figured we were in big trouble. Then everything went to hell. The front doors near Dr. Malice opened and in stepped the figure. It was exactly as Portnoy described it. Except I could see what the silver chains were. They were part of a necklace holding a religious symbol as expected except the symbol was a strange mish mash of every religious symbol in existence at once.

Everyone stopped as we watched this figure. He strode in head down until he was standing in the middle of the area then he raised his head. His head was a black skull with two snake heads in the eyeholes, blood pouring out of the um noseholes and a forked tongue hanging out of the jaw. He raised his hand and there was a staff in his hand. It was gnarled wood and tipped with that same symbol. He spoke I can't remember what he said. It didn't matter. Nothing matters. As soon as I saw him I knew there was no point to anything. Everything I knew. Everything I believed was a lie. Everyone here knew it. The Archangel was the truth of religion this was the truth of existence. This was why we exist. This is why everything exists. We should just end it? But that would be equally pointless. No point in continuing no point in ending it. I might as well just sit down and do nothing. Any action is equally pointless.

It was Dr. Malice who snapped me out of it. He came over and shook me out of my stupor and then helped me awaken Megan. The Timberwolves were all just sitting around. Weapons lying on the floor randomly discarded. The man was gone. No one paid us any attention as we left.

Dr. Malice told me what The Man had said. "I am Hiiln. Your belief is a lie. I am the truth. I am the one and only truth. I am the way and the path. I am your god and your devil. I am Faith."

We collected  Portnoy and got the hell out of there. The plan was a failure but chances are those Timberwolves won't be a threat in the future at least. He probably got the Proxies too...

When we got back and told The Liar about what happened she confirmed my suspicions. He was one of these new fears. These Ne Timu.

Just great.

Oh right we also got a very interesting present on our doorway.

An invitation.

From The Archive.
